Please pray for protection and job

Hi Catholic Answers,

I was laid off in Feburary and my job search has been a massive struggle, I never had these issues before when looking for jobs in the past (upon graduation or going through 2 other layoffs). I have applied to 100+ jobs at this point and nothing has worked out yet, I also don’t get any calls back.

This weekend I discovered my boyfriend’s mother is into the occult and witchcraft. She practices tarot, numerology, has a voodoo statue, consults a witch, sets up altars, and likely participates in a coven.

I have reason to suspect she may be doing spells, hexes, curses against me. She does not like me. Can you please pray for me and that her spells do not affect God’s blessings in any way? Does anyone have any recommended protection prayers? I started praying to Saint Michael too.
 
Dear Lord, we ask You to surround AlyssaSky with Your Angels, to protect and to guide her.
Bless her with peace of mind and soul, and trust in You who are victor over evil.
Lord, may her guardian Angel guide her to work,
and guide her in her life-decisions.

Asking the Lord to surround you with Angels is something I know from experience.
There was a time when I felt an evil lurking behind me when I was in my prayer corner. It was frightening and puzzling.
After a week my little boy said to me, “Mummy, I’m frightened. There is something evil around here.”
I then immediately knew what to do.
I bent down to him and said,
“Darling, there are two-thirds more good Angels than there are bad ones.
We will ask the good Angels to fill the house.”
That was that. The lurking evil presence never returned.

There is your immediate problem of potential spiritual danger.

There are the other issues of finding work in a difficult economy where so many others are looking for work.
May St Joseph pray for you. He had to several times find work, his first job, then again as a refugee in Egypt, and later after returning to another part of his own country.

The remaining problem is with a potential mother-in-law who may be hostile and a continuing problem if you raise any children Catholic, if witchcraft is her spirituality.

Praying to St. Joseph for you to secure employment. Praying to St. Michael the Archangel to watch over & protect you.

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

You might also want to discuss the occult issue with a priest, they will be able to give you better guidance.

I been praying a lot about this and I went to mass on Wednesday and the priest looked at me and started a sermon about how Jesus was able to cast out demons and how the apostles criticized people who used Jesus name to cast out demons, but Jesus said they didn’t need any special prayers, they just needed to use His name to cast the demons and darkness out.

I talked to the priest later that day and he said to use Jesus name, pray the Saint Michael prayer, and say the rosary as Blessed Mother also has power to defeat Satan.

That same day I went to mass got an update from a recruiter and they said they will let me know soon if I am chosen for an interview Please pray they choose me and I get this operations job.

Thanks for this prayer, I am asking God to post his angels and fill my house. This whole thing with my boyfriend’s mother is questioning the relationship and I really need guidance because his mother is deep into witchcraft. I suspect she might practice black magic.
