Please pray for requests with no replies

When I asked to be a “Prayer Warrior,” I remember that Klara Collins asked that special attention be given to requests with few replies. I just looked at the prayer requests list and sorted it by fewest replies and saw that there are 7 full pages of prayers with no replies. I’m not sure if it’s because these requests are so old (some of them a good many years) and no longer show the replies, or if no one ever answered them. Either way, I am hoping that everyone who asks for and replies to prayers will say a prayer for the intentions of all who haven’t had a reply. The prayer I am offering seems to be perfect for this request although it is the “Prayer for the Forgotten Dead.” Peace be with you.

O merciful God, take pity on those souls who have no particular friends and intercessors to recommend them to You, who either through negligence of those who are alive or through length of time, are forgotten by all. Spare them, O Lord, and remember Your own when others forget to appeal to Your mercy. Let not the souls You have created be parted from You, their Creator. Amen.

Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,

Thank you Paul. I was thinking of this issue as I walked from Mass. It is an issue that sometimes worries me.

I also look for prayers with few responses. I know of others who do.

Heart-rending, radical issues often fall into this category, whilst amongst more serious threads, there are sometimes threads with some temporary needs have continued for many months even when it has been posted that the problem or issue has been resolved.

As a Prayer Warrior though I’ve posted general concerns, I seldom post personal ones. I sometimes worry for those people who come here with heartbreak and worry, seeing long chains of prayers, whilst they must sometimes feel unimportant and neglected.

With the same concern as you I posted this general prayer thread:

Our dear Lord we implore of Your love that no one who comes here for prayer will feel neglected in their urgent and personal needs, even when their threads fail to receive many prayers.

Help us to be vigilant, however, in fairly praying for all intentions and not limiting ourselves to our own prayer concerns of our friends’ We are all brothers and sisters in you, and a need that cries out in any heart of life is vitally important.

Beloved Lord, even when our prayers for others are few, let them be as the loaves and fishes which You multiplied. Where sometimes we fail in quantity, let the quality of our prayers be filled with Your overwhelming power and grace. We trust in Your merciful love that allowed You to die once to save each person throughout time.

I have frequently used this board in the past. Recently, I decided that, with God’s help, I would commit myself to praying on intercessions that get little attention. I will continue to do so. Thank you for your reminder.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,

I have asked to be a “prayer warrior” and will promise to pay special attention to those requests which have few replies. I haven’t heard yet on whether or not my request has been accepted. Until then, I will continue to pray for others and respond to those requests with few responses. 👍
