I stayed in a psychiatric ward and couldnt sleep being Bipolar manic. Sherman, a mental health worker at this ward stayed up the whole night talking with me about various things including basketball. At times I acted manic and instead of him taking me down and giving me a shot (like many other mental health workers may have and have done) he contined to talk to me like a friend. We had a connection and I will never forget him, we talked all night long outside my room.

Please pray that God blesses Sherman for his patience and gentlness with me and that he may continue to share his fruitful gift of compassion with others.

And also please pray that psychiatric hospitals around the world, that the mental health workers are also slow to anger, and gentle with the patients. Thank you.

As I’m on my way out the door right now to work my nursing job on the midnight shift, your request serves as a welcome reminder to me of how many needs I will enounter during the next eight hours, and how many opportunities I’ll have to share the love of God with the people I care for through my own actions. Thank you for sharing this, and please know that as I progress through the night, not only will I be more aware of individual needs, but on my breaks will also be praying a rosary for you to have a peaceful night and sleep well. God bless.

Prayers for you both, and for all who suffer as you do, that others will respond wisely and gently to your struggles and needs.
God bless you, Sherman, and all who struggle with mental and emotional issues.

Praying my heart out for you and Sherman. God bless Sherman for his kindness.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Praying for your intentions.

Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory be…

Amen.
