Please pray for the Brothers at Mount Calvery Monastery

My Brothers & Sisters:

As many of you may have seen on the national news during the past few days, the “Tea Fire in Montecito” destroyed over 100 homes, including the Mount Calvary Monastery. Photographs of the destruction caused by the Tea Fire can be viewed HERE. And, Video from a Santa Barbara TV Station can be viewed HERE.

As a former Episcopalian, I had went on many retreats with the “Fathers & Brothers of the Holy Cross” who ran the Monastery/Retreat House. At that time, they kept the “Rule of St. Benedict”, praying 5 times/day & offering the Mass each day.

After PECUSA started ordaining women “priests”, the group I was with stopped going on retreat there. Mount Calvary never left PECUSA, or what PECUSA became, but I’m sure the “Monks” didn’t need this in their lives.

So, Please pray for the Priests and Brothers of the Holy Cross and all of the other people in Southern California who have experienced the trauma of losing their homes in the Southern California wildfires of the last 3 days.

Heavenly Father we lift up in prayers all Priests and Brothers of the Holy Cross and all of the other people in Southern California who have experienced the terror of three days of devastating fire .
Lord help them to find resources to rebuild the Mount Calvary Monastery and grant them complete recovery after the tragedy of wildfire .
