Please pray for the soul of our Uncle J. who died a couple hours ago

My husband’s Uncle J., who was my favorite in-law (converted Catholic and former US Marine), was suddenly diagnosed with a particularly virulent form of cancer a couple weeks ago and I just got word that he passed away this morning.

I had been praying that the Lord either heal him or take him home quickly, so I guess God picked the second option.

Please pray for the repose of his soul, and for his wife and adult son. Thank you.

Eternal rest grant unto Uncle J., O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
