This seems like a minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but I have already had two people call in sick who are supposed to be in our play tonight.

Please pray for a miracle, that our little Church play will be able to go on as scheduled.

Not a minor thing at all.

Father, grant health to
all those in this play tonight.
We ask this in the name of
Jesus Christ our Lord.
AMEN

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless

May the Lord bless your play, and may He give you the success you desire.

Thank you so much for your prayers!! 🙂

Two people were able to fill in at the last minute for the kids who were missing. The little girl who played St. Cecilia stole the show and stole everyone’s hearts, so the fact that some people didn’t know their lines turned out to be of no consequence, in the end.

I had arranged for her to give a little speech that outlines the points of the Nicene Creed in plain language. She memorized it, and then she thought of walking back and forth through the audience while delivering it, and it was extremely effective - when she came to the line, “This same Jesus died for your sins,” she stopped for a moment to think of the next line, but it was so effective, just that little pause - you could have heard a pin drop, and they were all looking at her - and then she remembered the next line - “And on the third day, He opened up the gates of Heaven to the whole human race by rising from the dead - that means you and me …” and they were so quiet, just listening to her - I’ve never seen them that quiet, listening to any homily from Father, but just the simplicity of this little girl in her white dress walking up and down the aisles, delivering these lines at the top of her voice, it was so effective, it just blew away all the little problems with the rest of the play, and everyone in the whole place said it was the best play they had ever seen in their lives before. 👍

So, thanks again for all your prayers!! 🙂

Your description of the evening moved me to happy tears…wish I had been there.
Deo Gratius!

Oh, that is wonderful news! I also wish I could have been there!🙂

Wow, sounds great. Some kids just seem to be natural-born actors, don’t they?

Glad that all went well.
