Apply to my soul, I beseech Thee, O merciful Jesus, Thine infinite merits; apply them also to those for whom I particularly wish to pray. I desire to communicate spiritually, that Thy Blood may purify, Thy Flesh strengthen, and Thy Spirit sanctify me. With all of my heart, I pray for those who cannot receive the Eucharist due to illness.

"Dear Jesus, please stay close to your brothers and sisters who are too weak to share Holy Communion. Let them know the presence of your being inside them, comforting them, until such time as our Father calls them home.

In our parish, people not receiving under one species may receive under another. He is fully present in each.
