Please Pray for Tripp Halstead and His Family

I have been following Tripp and his family on Facebook since my cousin brought his situation to my attention. Tripp was critically injured when a large tree branch fell onto his head, crushing his skull into many pieces on Monday, October 29th, 2012. His family has been going through such an ordeal for the last 6 months. I don’t even know this sweet, little boy, but I have felt like he could be part of my family now. I’ve been keeping him on my prayer list and on the prayer lists at my churches, but thought I should put one up here. His parents are such inspirations of strength.

I follow and pray for all of them. They are Jehovah’s Witnesses, unfortunately, but they do live their faith in a very inspiring way.

Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women

I did not know what faith they were, but I had a feeling the were JW because of how they sometimes referred to God as “Jehovah”. I agree with you, though. They definitely are inspirational with their mental and spiritual strength. Tripp is close in age to my daughter and I think what happened to him hit me very hard, especially seeing the pictures of him before the accident. He is such a beautiful and precious little boy. It is a miracle that he has overcome all of this so far after being told that he more than likely would not make it, and that God has a special plan for him and for his family.

I always pray for all of the other injured and ill children, when I pray for Tripp. His story has gotten an amazing amount of publicity, but children are hurt and get diseases every day, and their families struggle on with whatever little resources they have. I don’t know if Tripp will recover, but many children never do, and I want to remember them in my prayers as well.
 
Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
