Brothers & Sisters:
I know this ongoing prayer request must be getting tiresome. The Anglican Church in America and the Diocese of the West both had their annual meetings during the last month.
I heard that a couple of parishes didn’t attend the Diocesan Synod as their members have decided they don’t really want unity with Rome - That leaves 20 out of 23 parishes who were at the Diocesan Synod last year who seem to be coming along for the “Swim”. I hope this ratio holds for the rest of the ACA and continues to the end of the “Tiber Swim” (that would mean 85-90% of the parishes would cross over).
As you know, the Anglican Use has never gotten the number of parishes some expected or become the structure which could have enabled large numbers of Anglicans to feel comfortable converting to the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
If The Traditional Anglican Communion can be brought into UNION with the Holy See, I really believe that would give the Holy Father that structure, and could grow to accommodate the 10 to 15 million Anglicans worldwide who will be looking for a home when the Anglican Communion (Canterbury ++) breaks apart over the next few years.
That might fulfill the prophecy about “England returning home to the Holy Catholic Church”.
Please pray that the Lord soften the hearts of those who would either resist in the TAC, the Vatican and the rest of the Catholic Church, and that He would lead us all through these very sensitive times.
Please also pray that the Lord keep those of us who screwed things up before from doing the same thing again.
