Please pray for my 16 year old nephew, Vincent. He is currently suffering from a bronchial infection, which followed several bouts with collapsed lungs. Vincent has been in and out of the hospital last few months, many times with drain tubes stuck in the side of his chest, and generally going through way more than any 16 year old should ever go through. VIncent is a great kid, straight A student at a Catholic School in Southern California and needs your prayers. Please pray for him.

A PRAYER FOR HEALING
Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to you. Allow Your healing Hand to heal Vincent. Touch his soul with Your compassion for others; touch his heart with Your courage and infinite Love for all; touch his mind with Your Wisdom, and may his mouth always proclaim Your praise. Teach him to reach out to You in all his needs, and help him to lead others to You by his example.
Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring Vincent health in body and spirit that he may serve You with all his strength. Touch gently this life which you have created, now and forever.

Update on Vincent

Vincent is having surgery Sat. morning to remove the infection that he has, possibly as a result of several surgeries correcting his collapsed lungs. Please pray for this 16 year old straight A student who has more life and more promise in him than most people imagine in a lifetime.

Lord, please heal Vincent and keep him strong in faith. May he have your comfort and strength to help him get through this experience and have the intercession of your and our holy Mother Mary to help him recover speedily with peace in his heart and with love for you (and trust in you) deep in the depths of his soul. Update on Vincent

Vincent’s surgey went well and he is recovering. The infection in his lungs has been removed and his lungs are currently functioning correctly. We are hoping to have him out of the hospital, though if we don’t the entire family is bringing Christmas to him. Please continue to pray for this 16 year old straight A student who has gone through more trauma in his life than any 16 year old should.

Dear Heavenly Father, we pray in the blessed season for the speedy recovery of Vincent, so that he may be out of the hospital, and this time with no complications, in time for the family Christmas celebration. Please, Father, we pray for his lungs to function as they were intended with no further chance of collapse ever again. Bless this 16 year old, for he is truly a gifed individual with his whole life ahead of him.

Lord please heal Vincent

A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.
 
Update on Vincent

Vincent is out of the hospital for Christmas, praise the Lord. He has an i.v. tube still inserted which is providing him with much need antibiotics. His spirits are down because he has missed out on many things that 16 year olds should be doing, due to his prolonged illness. Please pray for Vincent to completely heal physically and spiritually, and may this episode in his life make him a stronger man by bringing him closer spiritually to Jesus Christ.
