Eternal rest give unto him oh Lord
And Let perpetual Light shine on him
May he rest in peace
Amen

This morning DH called home saying he was at the hospital, one of his coworkers collapsed at work and died. Walter was 37, coroner was not sure it was a heart attack as there was no heart attack related chemicals in the blood. However they will be doing an autopsy.
His wife is here (they did not have any kids) and all their family is in the Phillipines.
Sadly, I have never met Walter, but all of us (DH, DS and self) wear rope rosary-scapulars that Walter brought from the Phillipines and gave DH.
Lord please be with the family in their sorrow.

Dear Lord, please draw Walter’s soul to your bosom. Comfort his wife in this tragic loss, and give her the hope she needs to continue in this life. In Jesus name we pray.

Walter and his family are in my prayers for comfort, peace, hope, fulfillment of needs, and Walter’s peaceful rest in Jesus.

God bless all!!!

Eternal rest give unto him oh Lord
And Let perpetual Light shine on him
May he rest in peace
Amen

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Dear brethren, let us rejoice in God, whose joy it is to pour out good things on his people. Let us fervently pray:
  • Lord, give us your grace and your peace.
Eternal God, to you a thousand years are like yesterday, which is gone:
remind us that life is a flower that springs up in the morning and by evening is nothing but hay.
Give manna to your people, so that they do not hunger;
give them living water, so that they never thirst.
Make those who believe in you seek the things that are above:
may their work and their leisure equally give you praise.
Give us favourable weather, Lord,
that the earth may yield us abundant crops.
Grant the deceased the sight of your face,
and make us blessed by contemplating you.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Lord, your name is holy and your mercy is proclaimed from generation to generation.
Accept the prayers of your people
and let them sing of your greatness for ever.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

Dear Jesus,

We pray that you receive dear Walter into your holy family and send your Holy Spirit to comfort his family and friends. Help all to understand the pain of separation is overcome by the beauty and wonder of living with you for all eternity.

Praise and glory to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Jesus please have compassion on Walter’s soul; and grant comfort, courage and continuing faith to his shocked grieving family.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Thanks for the prayers.

Walter died of a massive heart attack. The wake is on Saturday and funeral on Monday. DH spoke to Maria (Walter’s wife) yesterday, she is in shock but is coping well.

Funeral is tomorrow.

Eternal rest give unto his soul O Lord
Let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul rest in peace.
Amen

Also please pray for his wife Maria and family.
