Even though there is no contract. There is talk that there will be picketing tomorrow. There are rumors that drivers and drivers assistant have been threatened. I will not work in these conditions.
Please pray that there is no violence or intimidation.
Polly:
Back in the early 1980’s, I lived in an Intentional Christian Community in Southern Oregon… One of the Deacons put Psalm 121 to music so the whole Community could sing it together:
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help!
My help cometh from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:
He that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither
slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is thy keeper:
the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil:
He shall preserve thy soul.
The LORD shall preserve thy going out
and thy coming in
From this time forth, and even for evermore.
From this time forth, and even for evermore.
Psalm 121 KJV as Modified and song by Allen L. Lake of the Highway Missionary Society
Please, think on these:
Romans 8:15-18
So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.
Romans 8:15-18 - NLT
Romans 8:28-39
We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God—those whom he has called according to his plan. This is true because he already knew his people and had already appointed them to have the same form as the image of his Son. Therefore, his Son is the firstborn among many children. He also called those whom he had already appointed. He approved of those whom he had called, and he gave glory to those whom he had approved of. (v. 28-30)
The one who loves us gives us an overwhelming victory in all these difficulties. I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love which Christ Jesus our Lord shows us. We can’t be separated by death or life, by angels or rulers, by anything in the present or anything in the future, by forces or powers in the world above or in the world below, or by anything else in creation. (v. 37-39)

Polly - This isn’t just for your benefit, but for that of everyone here (Including myself) who looks at what may be (Tomorrow - Future Events) or what might be happening (“Talk of a picket line”) or of a potentially bad situation that might have happened (Rumor that someone was threatened). With the exception that you’re Working without a Contract, what do you actually
know about your situation? The “Talk of a Picket line” isn’t Information - Unless confirmed, it’s a rumor - Same for the bit that you heard a rumor that someone had been threatened.
The Job of our Enemy is to Steal our Peace - In this case, to get us worked up over Rumor, “Information” that isn’t really Information, Scuttlebutt, and worry anxiety about what could happen tomorrow. In your case, his job was made easier, because you didn’t seem to trust that God was who He said He was - That God was and is a Loving Father who would take care of you, because He cares for you, because He really has carved your name on the Palms of His Hands, and He really could no more forget you than He forget Himself…
Please, Please, Trust in God the Loving Father, and tell that Lying Devil to go take a hike.
Your Brother & Servant in Christ, Michael
