Please pray for workplace bullies

Some coworkers are being bullies and backbiters. They are creating a toxic situation for me, and for others. A couple of them are active in their churches, but mean at work.

Please pray for a change of heart for them. And pray for my mature response and that I can keep up my spirits when I’m around them, and not get swept up in negativity and ill will
 
Lord, defend your child Country Gal against workplace bullies. Amen

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel be our defense against the wiles and wickedness of the devil, restrain him O God we humbly pray and do thou O prince of the Heavenly host, cast into hell satan and all evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin and destruction of souls. Amen

Invocation to St. Michael
Please help Country Gal. Amen

Dear St. Michael, the Archangel, protect Country Gal, both body and soul from the Evil One, his followers and anyone who would approach Country Gal with malicious intent.

Protect Country Gal’s body, and car, as she travels about in her daily activities.
Protect her home, property, family and possessions from all demonic retaliation.

St. Michael, intercede for Country Gal with God in all necessities as your Warrior. Mighty prince of the heavenly host, and victor over rebellious spirits, remember Country Gal for she is weak and sinful and so prone to pride and ambition. Be for Country Gal, I pray, powerful aid in temptation and difficulty, and above all do not forsake Country Gal in battles with the powers of evil. Amen.

O glorious St. Michael, Archangel I beseech you to fight against those who fight Country Gal and who make war upon her. Take up your sword and shield and rise up in her defense. BLOCK THE WAY OF HER DEMONIC PURSUERS. Let those be turned back who plot evil against her!

St. Elijah the Prophet, beat down and destroy the demons who come against Country Gal and all their emissaries!

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend Country Gal and be her protection against all evil and negativity on all levels.

May the Divine light of the Archangels surround Country Gal and her loved ones with their Love.

I call on St. Michael to protect Country Gal from all negative thought forms, lost souls, negative residues, negative elementals, and fragments.

May Country Gal be blessed in the work she does, and be given more Divine power and protection.Amen
 
Poor you! I am a Union Rep and often help bullied people. Nothing disgusts me more. Is your employer aware. When I assist people to complain it is amazing how fast bullies collapse in a heap. It’s a cliche but it is true. They cannot cope when people assert themselves. They crumble. I have said a prayer for you. Not for them (I know but I can’t bring myself to). Please keep me in the loop. I really want to know how things go. I wish I could help in a more practical way

Dear Lord, give Country Gal graces to respond in a wise way when confronted by coworkers. May she be an instrument of your Peace. May she not feel walked over, or bullied, or ill in anyway from their actions. May she know and feel Your Comfort.

May others at work not fall to their toxic spewing.

May the bullies see within themselves where they are causing pain and injury. May they have an awakening of true discipleship and see Christian life as something to practice at work and at church.

Amen.

(Country Gal - take good care of yourself with plenty of sleep, water, exercise, and healthy food. The better we physically feel, the easier it is for us to feel at peace among those who cause harm. You are so gracious to ask for prayers for yourself to be ready to handle injustice in a peaceful manner. If you have the chance to walk away when they are being bullies - do so. When they act unkind, take time to breath deeply and maybe silently speak with God asking for Peace within yourself.)
 
Prayers on the way and are in order, however, bullies need to be stopped. Document every single instance of bullying, get witnesses if possible, dates, times, places and what was said or done. Then take your documentation to your manager, or human resources or whatever department deals with harassment. Confront the bully in front of a superior.

I had to deal with this when I transferred to a new department, and a certain person harassed me almost from the beginning, along with her buddies. Finally I wrote a letter to the manager documenting a certain incident and insisted on a meeting. There I confronted her with the bullying, and threatened to take legal action if it did not stop. The manager, who up until this point had chosen to ignore such things from others who had been bullied, also got the message that if she did not take care of it, it would be reported on up the line, and, since we have a harassment policy, it would be reported to the person in charge of that. I am not a very assertive person naturally, and this took a lot for me to do, but that was the end of the bullying.

Also, the buddies must have gotten warnings, because they all became very friendly after that.

Just because you are a Christian, does not mean you have to take bullying and be miserable at work every. Bullying affects your employer as well as you, and other people also become subject to it when the bully tires of you. That had become a pattern and even an expectation that all new people would be bullied in this department, but now that is not the case. It had been allowed to go on for years before it was put to a stop. But I had to force myself to do it.

Finally, people had to learn to grow up. Please do yourself and others a favor and confront the bully, in front of management, so there is no question as to what was said, and insist on documentation of the meeting.

It takes guts. But it is the only way AND its the best way
 
Thank you. I have requested to my manager to be scheduled with more amiable coworkers who are nurturing. I know she is aware that others are affected as well.

I think some words might have been said because I saw an improvement. But last night a coworker informed me that I was openly backbitten about, totally unjustifiably.

I’m hoping for a better schedule. I also am hopeful for God’s positive intervention. These aren’t evil people. They are good and intelligent ones, but with some mean tendencies they are unaware of.

I hope that it works out properly. But you have had some good advice about dealing with bullies. If things get worse consider official action at least let them know that you are aware of it as an option. Keep us updated
