I will say 5 St. Gertrude prayers everyday this week. Our LORD said that each time we said this prayer, a 1000 souls would be released from purgatory.

Lord, you know the loss we feel when our loved ones are taken from us. Please remove our sadness and replace it with joy that they are nearer to You, our Heavenly Father. Any sadness they have felt, any hardships, or pain they had, have now ended. Though we are sad they are no longer with us, we look forward to being reunited with them one day, and looking upon the beautiful face of You, O Lord!
 
May the Lord, in his infinite wisdom and mercy, have mercy on their souls
 
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.
