Please pray for...

Before I say pray for what and who.
Few questions. Can we to pray for a person without knowing his or her name?
Will prayers work without knowing whom you’re praying to, not even the person’s name?
If we can, what about if it’s very private matters? totally private? Is it not advisable to post it here?
 
this person’s problem, from my own viewpoint, is very private. and can only be solved through prayers. (God is great, nothing is impossible for Him). but due to very private matters, I don’t know whether I can post it here or not. even without telling the name.

Jesus knows the names of all his sheep, so don’t worry if we don’t know, it’s not necessary to tell us your friends name.
