Mental Health Intentions

1. For greater awareness of mental illnesses and its challenges in our families and community, we pray to the Lord.
2. For an increase in understanding, patience, kindness to those affected by mental illnesses and their families, we pray to the Lord.
3. For the recognition in our society that mental illness is like any other illness, and that it can affect anyone at any time whether they are young or old, rich or poor, accomplished or not, in all social strata of the society irrespective of race, ethnic affiliation or gender, we pray to the Lord.
4. For the elimination of prejudices, shame, and stigma in our society which further isolates and marginalizes those affected by mental illness and their families, we pray to the Lord.
5. With thanksgiving for support, guidance, fortitude, wisdom in long struggles for those affected, their families, friends, and professional caregivers, we pray to the Lord.
6. For all children who are affected by mental illnesses, we pray to the Lord.
7. For healing and recovery of all those affected by mental illnesses and greater opportunity for them to use their gifts and talents for the betterment of our society and for the greater glory of God, we pray to the Lord.
8. From protection from harm due to acts of impulsiveness, despair, ignorance and evil temptations, we pray to the Lord.
9. For greater dedication in the part of psychiatrists, psychologists and other mental health providers to their profession and care to those under their charges, we pray to the Lord.
10. For the Holy Spirit to enlighten scientists on the cause of mental illnesses, and for more efficacious prevention actions and treatments which will lead to the eradication of mental illnesses, we pray to the Lord.
11. For greater ministry of love in our church for those affected by mental illnesses and their families, we pray to the Lord.
12. Lord God, give to your people the joy of continual health in Mind and Body, and may the prayers of the Virgin Mary and that of St. Thérèse of Lisieux bring us hope, healing, recovery, and protection, we pray to the Lord.

Hello! I must report to you things are still getting a lot better for me. Thank you so much for your continued prayers I believe that they are truly helping me!!

I have found a lot of help in the Divine Mercy devotion. It is teaching me that a lot of my issues stem from a lack of trust in Jesus

I am still unsure of what Gods plan for my life is. But I am still thinking about becoming a Sister. I am not so sure that God wants me to be a Carmelite nun, but perhaps to join an Order that is more active. I have started to feel attracted to this Order ~

I have made contact with them and they are aware of my health situation. They are so nice though I received an email from the Assistant to the Vocation Directress and she wrote to me don’t lose hope and that she is praying for me!

I feel so blessed that I have made contact.
