Please pray I don't get a ticket

I made a right on a red light, which I believe is NOT illegal. The traffic lights here are camera enforced, and when I made the right the flash went off and spooked me. I wanted to be sure there wasn’t a “NO TURN ON RED” sign so I turned around and went down the same road_ there wasn’t one.

The flash went off again though.

I hate these things.

I didn’t break the law, but I’m not sure.

I can’t deal with a ticket now.

I am very much not a fan of those Red Light Cameras. I’m not one to blast through changing intersections or anything, but when the light turns yellow, I become panicked, which for me creates a scary situation sometimes.

As far as the right-on-red, the way it was setup back in my home state, one needs to make a complete stop, as if at a stop sign, and then proceed to make the turn. If you rolled through and didn’t completely pause before moving on, your situation may yield a citation.

I will pray for your situation! I know what it’s like to be “flashed”, and go around wondering if you have a large fine pending in the mail. God bless!

You can also apparently get a ticket even if you come to a complete stop before making the turn, but do it when the front of your car is beyond the white stop line painted on the pavement.

In effect you usually have to stop twice. Once before you cross the white stop line – to avoid being ticketed – and then again before you make the turn – because the white line is usually too far back to be able to see if it’s OK to make the turn.
 
Praying for you to not get a ticket. I don’t like those things either.
 
In some cities it’s illegal to make a right on a red light no matter what. Always be aware of the laws of your local area. As the policeman will tell you while writing your ticket, ignorance of the law is no excuse…even if they change constantly it seems! 😉

I pray that it works out well for you. Here, where I live you must come to a full stop and check for oncoming traffic, just as you would for a stop sign. Good luck.👍
 
Lord, please protect Polly from all injustice and see that she rightfully will not be assigned a traffic ticket. Send angels to nudge any legal personnel examining this matter, that they might mercifully and justly recognize her innocence. Quell her anxieties over this matter with the help of your divine grace, that she might always foster temperance, piety, joy, faith, hope, and love. In all Polly’s enterprises, lead her joyfully, and with much mercy and angelic help, to serve the Father, and to bask in the warmth of your light and love. Have mercy, Lord. I don’t think you can pray not to get a ticket. You cannot ask God to protect you from receiving one, even if it is unjust, because I’m not sure God works in that way.

What would be so bad about receiving a ticket? I am not saying I think it is right you should receive one. I’m just wondering why you are so keen not to, to the point were you want God to intervene on your behalf?

My opinion about these red light cameras is that they are only a money-making device for bureaucrats and kingpins in local communities. They are not a replacement for an officer’s eyes at the scene, and they make the process impersonal and rigidly controlled, a system of guilty until proved innocent. I pray that these devices be removed from communities and that people become educated to the enormous amount of money that they remove from a community (they aren’t cheap and they are only leased from companies far distant). Studies show that they increase traffic accidents which also adversely impact on citizens.

That being said I offer up this pray that our friend be spared of this financial harm…
