Please pray I'll get past this

Today I ran into a man who caused me great pain in my childhood. Since then I’ve been deeply sad and unsettled and I think I need to finally deal with it. Pleae pray for me – and others affected by this man’s actions – that God will bring me through this.
 
Prayers for your continued healing of these emotional wounds. For your continuing ability to forgive - so that you may heal completely.

I’ve said a prayer for you, but I’m wondering if this man has done anything criminal and can be in a position to harm anyone else. Not that I’m asking you to reveal his actions or your experience to anyone here but if he’s done something that should be reported to the authorities, maybe your coming forward to them would be a necessary step you need to take to get past the troubling feelings you’re experiencing. Forgiving the man would be good, but so would making sure that no other child has to go through what you went through, especially if what he’s done or is doing is abusive and in effect, a crime.

**My mother so emotionally abused me that
I have a Schizophrenic Personality Disorder.
She is still in my life because I am disabled and
need her to see for some of my needs.
I forgave her, but it still hurts. When asked in
a Counseling session to tell me she loves me she
couldn’t. The Counselor told me to have as little
to do with her as possible.
I understand. I forgave her publicly and it freed
me from most of the pain.
I will pray for you to be able to move on.
They are sick miserable people.

Offer this hardship up to God and He will give you direction and consolation.

I am praying to St. Maria Goretti to help you forgive this man and deal with the situation. She is such a beautiful, pure saint who is here for us when we need her. She and her mother both forgave the man who attempted to rape her and succeeded in stabbing her to death. Her forgiveness and humility led to his conversion.

May God give you strength, courage, and humility through all of this.

Praying for you, may the Lord wrap his arms around you, heal your pain and grace you with his love. Lord hear our prayer.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
