Please Pray! RCIA Director Diagonosed w/ Cancer

The RCIA director at my church, Joseph, has recently been diagnosed with a very serious cancer of the pancreas, liver, and gallbladder. He is a kind, elderly man who is in much pain. Please pray for the Lord to deliver him and grant him peace of body and soul, and for the Lord to grant fortitude to his family and friends at this time.

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.

For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
Amen.
 
Jesus please ease Joseph’s pain and discomfort. Please grant him peace of body and soul. Please give his family and friends courage and faith while helping him through his illness and suffering.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us,
that …
we can find some comfort in Your love.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Loving God,

We come before you today and lift up brother Joseph who has provided your people with much love and guidance in the very important role as RCIA director at his parish. Please bless and grant courage to Joseph and send your warm and comforting Holy Spirit to be with him during his time of suffering and carrying the cross. Please bless and guide those who provide his medical care and treatment. Please help Joseph to see the face of Christ in his care givers and his family and friends as he goes through this trying time. Please bless and help all who know Joseph to have a strong faith and great hope so they can minister to him and grant him relief from stress and anxiety in this difficult time of life. We thank you for the many blessings Joseph has provided to the RCIA program participants and to all who know him, and ask that he might understand and be comforted by your plan for his life. We know that our Lord Jesus is the master healer and the divine physician and we ask for His care and blessing for Joseph.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Claire. I offer many many prayers for Joseph. My own husband (also named Joseph) is suffering from pancreatic cancer and I know how hard it is when someone goes through this. May God send a miracle his way and bless him with the gift of His holy spirit. May God lead the drs and nurses and all that care for him with the wisdom and knowledge to help Joseph during this trial. Please know that I will keep him in my daily prayers. How special you are to post this…My prayers are for you as well. Your loving sister, Diane
