Please pray so that I may no longer be insecure

I cannot live like this. I cannot function like this. This has been going on for FAR too long and I cannot enjoy my life because of it. The problem is that I am burdened by the insecurities caused by my flaws and my differences from those of the vast majority of people. They make me feel inferior and leave me burning with envy and resentment towards others, and I am forced to flee from the source of the discomfort whenever I come across it or I am reminded of what makes me feel that way.

I really want to enjoy my life without the burden of my poor self image.
 
I said a prayer for you.

Perhaps you should seek out a spiritual director. They may be able to help you discover the root of your problem so you can rid yourself of it. Contemplative prayer may be an answer.
 
Pray the Rosary, and ask Our Lady to send the Holy Spirit to lift up your Heart,and also ask Jesus her son to comfort you during your times of trouble, every thing is Impossible if we believe. AMEN :gopray2::gopray2::bible1:

Have you read up about temperaments? Sometimes insecurity comes from just not understanding that your differences are shared by a lot of other people. Sometimes just finding out how others with your temperament deal with things gives you a world of advantage.

Ask St. Barnabas to pray with you for courage and joy. He can pray for you while you sleep. Barnabas means “one who is encouraging”. He was both full of joy and courage. I daily pray to him.

A Prayer Against Depression

O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,

of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
