Please pray so that I may sleep during the night

My body has a strong tendency to sleep during the day and be awake all night. Even if I stay awake during the day and try to sleep at night, my body will try to do anything in its power to make sure I end up being nocturnal again. An example being how one time I slept through a whole night and through half a day, just so I can wake up in the afternoon. Another example is when I slept at night for only two hours and could not fall back asleep, but I slept pretty well during the day.

I’m going to have a job eventually, and I need to start sleeping at night rather than daytime.

Hmm, that’s strange. You may want to talk to a doctor about that. St. Therese of the Child Jesus, pray for us. Amen.
 
I have had sleep problems for a long time, and sympathize. I would suggest seeing a physician about this also. A good sleep study may open up new possibilities. I will also pray for you in this situation.
 
+3 on discussing this with a physician, ideally a sleep specialist. There are disorders of the sleep cycle which are commoner than we think.

Praying for your intentions. I am also nocturnal, I have always found it difficult to be a day person. It gets easier with time, especially if you stick to your normal bedtime and wake time on the weekends as well.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
