Please cherish yourself. You are only human. Lord, please don’t let our friend dump guilt on himself. Please let his own needs be met so that he can cheerfully and positively meet others’ needs.
On your behalf
I face all my personal limitations with You, God, and pray that Your Spirit always lives in and through me as I endeavour to love You and to love others with overwhelmingly more joy than anxiety. Help me to receive love in trust and to give love wisely with all my being."
Praise to You our God, for Your love, opportunities, and blessings in my life. I have tried to respond—yet perhaps not well enough. If I have curtailed Your plans, please heal my doubts and achieve Your purpose despite my flaws.
Forgive my hurt when You seem not to listen or to respond. Accept my trust that You will overcome my barriers and fulfil Your dreams for others and me in my life.
Amid Your blessings, there have been sufferings, sadness, and disappointments. Yet You intend all these graces and difficulties to break open my heart to You. In every situation, fill me with peace, joy, gratitude, and love for You above all and others, as You desire.
I praise You for the hope, faith, love and gratitude that You rouse in me during my life. Thank You for those times when I appreciate Your love and gifts! Thank You for the delight and adoration that You inspire in me! Thank You for the times Your Spirit blesses others through me.
Praise God, my soul, within my fundamental choice, which is to live in Your love! Praise God in my sleeping, in my waking, in my awareness, in my distractions, in my laughter, in my sorrows, in my actions, in my stillness, in my dying, in my rising.
“Have you not sometimes loved the Lord? Do you not love God now? Do you not long to love God forever? Therefore, do not fear! Even conceded that you had committed all the sins of this world, Jesus repeats to you: Many sins are forgiven you because you have loved much!” (Saint P. Pio)
Jesus make me who I am
Dear Jesus, God dreamed and loved me into existence. Please be merciful to my Creator by ensuring that I fully live God’s dream of me.
Occasionally, in others’ eyes, I glimpse a loving, delightful person whom God created out of love. Please help me to become truly that person, so that others can experience Your love, goodness, and beauty in me, and can receive the blessings You intend for them through me.
Let me delight You, by being an open doorway into You for others. Let me be a living tabernacle of Your love, an overflowing crystal chalice of Your love, a powerhouse of prayer and an instrument of Your love and healing to others. Please Jesus, make me who I am in the dream God always had of me. Trishie 2003
