Please pray that my son, Colton, would be healed of an issue which could kill him

Hey everyone. We had just got discharged and we was about to leave the hospital room when Colton threw up while resting on me. His discharge has been postponed. They are going to keep him and watch how he reacts to his next meal before he can be released. Please keep him in your prayers.
 
Continued prayers for your precious child.
May the Lord be the source of his strength, may his life be a testament to God’s glory.

Hey, everyone. Thank you very much for your prayers. I apologize for not updating before now but it’s been a busy week. Anyway, he got released later that day on Saturday. As it turns out, a miscommunication error resulted in him getting too much Boost via his feeding tube and that’s what made him throw up.

Anyway, he is home with his daddy right now but I have also had him some this week and he is doing pretty well. The area where his mickey button is installed is still a little sore as can be expected but he is doing really well with the feeding tube. He goes to see his primary care doctor this afternoon for a post-surgery checkup. I will let you know what I find out later.

Hey, everyone. Colton is okay. He has gained a pound since getting the feeding tube put in but unfortunately, he wasn’t feeling good today. I am not entirely sure what was wrong. I just know he woke up from his morning nap with what seemed like a fever and fussiness. He is back home with his daddy right now. I let his daddy know what was going on so that way he can take him to the doctor this week if he needs to.

Hey, everyone. Colton is doing pretty good although he does have a slight infection of his stoma which is what they call the surgical site where his tube is inserted into his belly. I took him to the ER on Friday because of it and they prescribed Bacitracin cream and a follow up with his primary doctor. Colton is with his daddy right now.

Anyway, Colton is doing well other than the infection. He is gaining weight pretty well. He has gained almost 2 lbs since he had the surgery so he is gaining almost a pound a week. He weighed 16.4 lbs right before the surgery and on Friday he weighed 18.1 lb so the feeding tube is definitely doing what it is supposed to.

Colton does occasionally get too full and then ends up throwing up. He gets 5 oz of Boost Kid Essentials per feeding except for the one before bed and for that one he gets 4 oz. We have to be careful not to let him eat too much food during meal time though because if he does then all of that Boost on top of it makes him too full and then he throws up. It’s a learning process, to say the least. I’d appreciate your continued prayers.

Oh, and last but not least, I forgot to mention this before. When we were at Riley a couple of weeks ago for his surgery the doctors there once again told us that this condition will not kill him but it could affect his brain development. Apparently, his primary care physician was wrong about the potential for it to kill him.

Hey everyone. We think the weight they gave us at the hospital was wrong. David took him to his primary care doctor for a followup yesterday and his weight was 16 lbs and 14 oz which is a difference of over a pound. If 16 lbs and 14 oz is his accurate weight then he has gained weight but not a whole lot.
