I feel awful reading through the many prayer requests for healing and quite shallow for what I am about to ask for, but my family really needs help. My wife and I both work for the Catholic Church (I am a DRE and she is a Youth Minister) and our daughter is 10 months old. We live in florida, and between the high gas prices, my daughters insurance bills, the cost of living, student loans, and life in general, it will not be long until our boat finally sinks and we lose our home. We are barely afloat now, and at the rate we are going we will have nothing in the next few years. We’ve prayed and followed God every step of the way, and I know that He will provide, but we are on a sinking ship and he is asleep in the boat. I feel like I’m standing in front of a train and can’t move. If nothing more results from your prayers than my wife’s peace of mind, I will be happy. Please pray, my family really needs your help! THank you all, Glen.

Dear Lord, we know how much You love all Your children, and provide all that they need. We ask that You look upon Glen and his wife, and grant the financial resources they need to continue working for Your Church. Your will be done, Father. In Jesus name we pray.

thank you michael, i’m beginning to feel a little better already

Praying for all your temporal and spiritual needs. Jesus is asleep so wake him up.

Then he may calm the storm! Father God loves to grant our needs, sometimes I say to him “Father God I know you meet all my needs for my family but you sure do cut it close”.

Faith Glen!

In Jesus precious name we pray!

Linda

Jesus isn’t asleep he is carrying you on his shoulders, he will not abandon you so have faith and keep praying, I:gopray2: will pray for you god bless

Do rest assured that to petition The Lord for our needs can never beshallow and to ask our brothers and sisters to pray for us in our needs can never be shallow either - rather a way of actively affirming and proclaiming the Doctrine of the Communion of Saints and the Mystical Body…God bless you!..

Amen…Lord, please hear our prayers…

Glen He never falls asleep, if He was to allow this ship to sink, is because He has bigger and better things coming your way. You, your wife and daughter make a completion, everything else around you is “pure illusion”, like the bible says. You three must look like fine gold to Him, when He is willing to try your purity. Once He sees the truth in a heart, He starts to bring you in to deeper water with Him…and yes it is scary, but He is always there.

Lord Father hold this precious family close to your heart and lead them through this storm, for they are Your soldiers and are receiving battle wounds in Your Holy name. Please hurry to console them, in Jesus name I pray:byzsoc:

**In every need let Glen come to you with humble
trust, saying:
Jesus, help me.
In all his doubts, temptations, and troubles of mind,
Jesus, help me.
When he is lonley or tired,
Jesus, help me.
When his plans and hopes seem to be failing,
in all his disappointments and sorrows,
Jesus, help me.
When others let him down,
and your grace alone can assist him,
Jesus, help me.
When his heart is heavy with failure
and when he sees no good come from his efforts,
Jesus, help me.
When his cross is hard to carry,
Jesus, help me.
Jesus WE TRUST IN YOU!
AMEN **

Dear God, Glenaitkin is Your child and needs Your help. I know firsthand how difficult unemployment can be. I know firsthand how difficult it is to lose a home. Glenaitkin and his wife are wonderful Stewards of Your love. They help so many and ask so little. Please help them and guide them through this. Your love and the prayers I received helped me realized that I don’t know what Your will is for me but I accepted it with all my heart. I still lost the house but I am still here. I remember going to bed and just asking You to take me to Heaven…BUT I woke up the next morning. My first thought was that “God isn’t done with me yet”…Thank you God. Give Glenaitkin and his family the help they need so they may continue to be Stewards of Your Church.
Amen, Amen

thank you all again! I know God will answer. Let’s hope he doesn’t “cut it close” as linda put it. Reading all of your prayers has helped very much

Glen, praying very hard for your financial situation to greatly improve. Hang in there and keep persevering!

Prayers for you and your family during this trying time.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 64 (65)
A solemn thanksgiving

To you we owe praise, O God, in Sion;
to you we will fulfil our vows, in Jerusalem.

It is you who answer prayers:
to you must all men come,
because we are sinners;
even if our transgressions overwhelm us,
you will blot them out.

Blessed is the man you have taken up and chosen:
he will live within your halls.
We shall be filled with the good things of your house,
with the holiness of your temple.
Marvellous is the justice with which you listen to us,
God of our salvation,
hope of all the earth and far-off coasts.

You make firm the mountains in their place,
clothed in your power and might.
You make still the roaring of the sea,
the crash of its waves; and the tumult of the peoples.
Those who live at the ends of the earth
will tremble at your wonders.
You will fill the east and the west with joy.

You have come to the earth, you have filled it,
saturated it with fruitfulness.
The river of God is filled with water,
as you prepare the harvest:
for thus you have prepared the land,
watering its furrows,
smoothing its roughnesses,
softening it with showers,
blessing the seeds within it.

You have crowned the year with your kindness.
Your footsteps will drip with fruitfulness.
The desert pastures will be soaked,
the hills will be wrapped in rejoicing.
The fields will be clothed with flocks,
the vales overflow with corn.
They will cry out, and sing your praise.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Father, your children falter at your feet. We are so helpless without You. Like a newborn colt, we make our way in this world on wobbly legs sometimes, with only Your grace to carry us through. Forgive us our trespasses, Lord! We of little faith cannot begin to understand your infinite power, and your divine Will. Grant us patience Lord, and boundless faith. In fervent prayer we ask for your blessings, and often forget to thank you for all that you have graced us with in our lifetimes. Hear our thanks now, Lord, and have mercy on us. We ask that you grant your amazing grace upon Glen and his family, Lord, that they may find comfort in your continual presence in their lives. May you hold them dear to you, and restore peace, as they struggle to make ends meet. Be it your will, may they continue to work in your church, and not lose their home, and may they always feel your blessings there. Lord hear our prayer! :gopray:
