I cannot believe this, but I kept forgetting to put the water bill out in the mail for two weeks–and they sent a notice that by next Wed, they will shut it off. I pay everything online for our bills–but this water company only accepts checks in the mail, and I just kept forgetting because I literally don’t pay anything by mail anymore. They are giving until next Wed, and with Monday being a holiday, (I mailed it today) I pray that it makes it in time!! It’s only about 5 miles away, the water company–so it should get there by Tuesday? Please keep us in your prayers, that when I call them on Tuesday to tell them what happened, that they extend it a day or so.😦 If they shut it off, we have to pay another deposit I think?😦

Thank you! It might seem like a silly petition, but I really don’t want to have to dish out another deposit, just because I was forgetful!

Blessings,
Sharon

Praying for your intentions.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Thank you Mary.
I was just thinking about it, and I don’t think we paid a deposit…because the people who lived here prior to us, we just took over the house, and the water company just switched the names in their system, which was nice. So, maybe I’d have to pay a deposit NOW?

I just feel like crying because my husband is going to be like…what?

Anyways, I just pray that they give me a break this time.😦

I’ll pray for you. In the meantime, park your car over the buffalo box. 😉

It might be a good idea, for safety’s sake, to give the company a call ASAP. Tell them the check is in the mail, that you can show them the check butt and they can call the bank to verify that you have the funds to cover the check (that it won’t bounce) if necessary. Just to pretty please NOT shut off the water.

Would they not take a check from you if you went into the office in person? Sounds daft to me. If post is their only means of communication then almost certainly they’ll make allowances for the fact that post takes time and can be unreliable.

That is a good point. I spoke to someone last week, and she said as long as we get it by the 23rd, we should be fine. I am going to call again on Tuesday–they are closed today.

I will pray for your intentions in my daily rosary.

God Bless
Steve

My dear husband is going to drive in the payment on Tuesday before he goes to work, bless him! I will see first if they will accept the payment that is coming in the mail, but if they insist on it being in before then-then they I’ll end up having a credit on my next bill. Not like we won’t have another bill coming! ha
I doubt they will void the check on their end–and rip it up. So, if they cash both oh well. My husband said that he does not want to run the risk of the water being shut off. He wasn’t mad afterall–he said that they should have an online service, and get with the times.

Thank you for your prayers!

Honesty is often the best policy in situations like this. I’m always amazed how worked-up I get about things that usually turn out a lot better than expected after all.

Can you have your bank send them a check every month? I do all of my bill paying online, but some places are not set up to take electronic payments. In those cases, I just have the bank send a check every month.

Sharon:
I’m praying for you and the people at the water company.

Prayerfully,

Renato
