Dear people of Catholic Answers Forums,

Please pray that my husband should not have prostate cancer and that the urologist tests would be good next week.

Please pray also that my husband should not lose his current job.

Please pray also for a good mental health for my husband and for my daughter Anneleen.

Please pray that my daughter Veerle would learn her study material of her school so often as possible and that she would come home so often as possible. And that she and her friend and also my other children would become Christians.

I pray that God prevents your husband from getting prostate cancer. May those tests come back with good results. I pray that God grants your husband the ability to keep his job. I also pray that God blesses your husband and daughter with healthy minds, ones that are free from illnesses. I pray that Veerle learns what is necessary for school. Lastly, I pray that she, her friend and your other children would leave behind their life of unbelief and come to faith in Christ. Amen.

their prayers, and heal them of all illnesses and other

Prayer for the Apprehensive Patient

Christ said to His loved ones: I am with you, fear not, be not anxious. May I, then, be confident that in the trials and crosses of my life that You, O Lord, will be my constant companion. Whenever I cannot stand, You will carry me lovingly in Your arms. May I have no fear of what may happen tomorrow. For the same Eternal Father Who cares for me today will take care of me tomorrow and everyday of my life. You, O Lord, will either shield me from suffering or give me strength to bear it patiently. May I be at peace, then and put aside all useless thoughts, anxieties, and worries.

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (Elise1), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity.
