Edar and Jen.

God bless you both. Jen, I especially found your offering incredibly touching and resonating with my soul.

I am sure my cousin’s soul would have been glorified upon hearing it.

The outpourings of love and reverence is touching indeed, and with Popes call for prayer on saturday for the Syrian people, it is appropriate for us all to pray fervently for the peace and security of all people’s who are persecuted for their beliefs.

God bless
Your loving servant 🙂

My prayer and sympathy for your Family are joined to the others…
…Islam is a religion of hate and I pray for all those people now suffering in devout Muslim areas.
…May God be with you and yours S19.

Pythons,
. My dear friend who believes in Christ. Your heart is most definitely in the right place, but I only wish to say that we should not view all Muslims as full of hate. They are not, and I know that you are responding out of a general frustration with so much of what the headlines bring us, and I respect the sentiment of your heart.
. I have had the opportunity to know quite a number of Muslims, my friend, and all of them have been very kind and blessed people who are equally frustrated with so much that goes on in the world.
. There are some very bad examples of people of all religious backgrounds who do not represent what there religions teach, and while we all are saddened by what some people do in the name of religion, we should not hate everyone from whichever one it is.
. Please forgive me, for I do not mean to sound preachy, and maybe this isn’t the time or place to say these things. I don’t know.
. God bless you Pythons,
.Daler

I wish I could see it the way you do daler, I really do…
…Unfortunately my “direct experience” with Islam while in Military Service.
…Taught me that Islam is going the other direction from Christianity.

I simply worked with too many Muslims that believed that beating up their wives…
…Was what God expected of them.
…When an Uncle can punch his 10 year old niece hard enough in the face it breaks her nose.
…While the girls Father doesn’t lift a finger - I call it like I see it.

The reason - the little girl was begging her Father to let US Medics medi-Vac her Mother to a hospital so her life could be spared…
…Because that went against “Islamic teachings” the girl begs her Father to let her Mom go.
…And devout Uncle steps up and breaks her nose.
…No hospital trip for Mom.

Mind you - these are the same Muslims that were “on our side” in Desert Storm.

I pray for all those who suffer under Muslim oppression but I will not ***** foot around this subject.

Thankyou for your prayers Python. I trully appreciate the sanctity and reverence you have shown towards human life in your experiences…

It is indeed a difficult and often harrowing thing to witness when a religion has been so tremendously distorted so as to produce a band of adherents that are, as you say “going the other direction to Christianity” and the opposite direction to God altogether.

Let us all remember, in our prayers, the innocent victims of such a distortion of the human spirit 🙂

May the Father’s blessings and providence be showered upon all of your souls 🙂

I hear you Python. This is really sad, and far too real to be ignored, but I would liken it to those who had likewise corrupted their religion in other venues. I grew up on an Indian reservation and knew the descendants of the atrocities committed by so called Christians.

In each example, there is a gross distortion, or maybe even a dying process and rot that has taken place. Clearly, what passes for “religion” is not always so.

Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Many, especially those who’ve lived in the U.S. all their life have a hard time understanding…
…How difficult it is to simply move out of the country one lives in.
…When one factors in “tribal areas” it becomes almost impossible.

Christians, Baha’i or frankly any religion other then Islam are in a very rough spot if they live in an Islamic society…
…In Saudi, Afg, Iraq, Yemen, Iran and the host of other Islamic states.
…They still have the practice of giving away 8 year old girls for marriage.
…Many do NOT survive their “wedding night”.

In the case of Yemen that practice was outlawed by the Govt but immediately the Islamic Clerics stepped in…
…And declared the “new rule” was “AGAINST ISLAMIC TEACHING”.

The key part, that which the “main stream media” such as NBC omitted from their coverage of this…
…Is the following.
From the Article Above:
The country passed a law in 2009 setting the minimum age for marriage at 17. It was later repealed after conservative lawmakers said** it went against Islamic teachings**.

This slips right past most folks who have not had any experience outside a western country…
…It’s “old hat” in Islamic areas.
…& many of these little kids will not survive their “wedding night”.
…And those that do are damaged in ways to terrible to speak of.

Your Family is still in my prayers daler, I pray that they escape the suppression of their religious beliefs.

Pythos,
. Thank you for sharing this stuff. It is really sick. They should picket around the United Nations building with these photographs and stories until it is all of the major news papers and televisions.
. I have only heard the occasional story, but when you see the photographs, it really hits home.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg I’m afraid daler - it doesn’t stop there…
…That the founder of the religion himself was fond of child brides shows the DNA of the practice.
…It’s really sad that most Americans are so dumbed-down by series on t.v.
…That they start to burp up the Islam God is the same God as the Christian God - only by a different name.

These fops only need move into an Islamic controlled area with their wives and daughters to get a dose of reality…
…Sadly, the myth of Islamic great respect of females continues to be promulgated.

I will check out your website daler, thanks for putting that up there.

Here is an 11 year old girl who was lucky enough to have a “Liberal” or non-devout Muslim Uncle…
…He helped her escape from sexual torture and possibly death.
…Islamic clerics have called for her death and the death of her Uncle.

Thanks for this. What an astonishing girl. So articulate. I hope her video gets sent around the world.

This is as sick as the history of slavery and the justification used by so-called Christians for centuries, or the Salem Witch Trials.

There are still far too many perversions going on in the name of religion, with very real and horrible consequences, stemming from ignorant fanaticism.

I was instantly skeptical of your claim as I’d never heard of “mass marriages” among the Yemeni child brides before. I grew even more skeptical when I scrutinized those photos more closely and noticed that most of those girls are waving what appears to be either a Jordanian or Palestinian flag. Can I ask you where you obtained these photos from?

To the OP: I’ll be including you and your entire family in my prayers this evening. I’m very sorry for you loss.

Perhaps a liberal writer for “National Geographic” would be more suitable to your pallet Brandon Cal?

As LDS esq’ I understand there are certain segments within that faith tradition that promote child marriage.

Did I strike a nerve here or something?

This is so sick. I don’t care what culture one is in, some things are self-evident to the human soul. I can’t even look at those little faces knowing that they have little to no idea what is about to happen to them. The words of Jesus are ringing in my ears as to the fate of those who would harm one of his little ones. God have mercy on their souls.

Nigeria is the most “Islamic” area of Africa…
…More and more people are starting to speak out against the Islamic practice.

All I can say is that their perversion is revolting.

The only way I can see that we can help people like daler’s family ( and others )…
…Is to draw attention to those things that get people active about doing something about it.

The Coptic Christians are being slaughtered right now on account of their having a different religion…
…“Relevantism” , is exactly the great evil the Pope has said it is.
…Too many people have been dumbed down to actually believe we all worship the same God by different names.

Perhaps you could cut it with the partisan clap trap and just answer an honest question. Though it’s none of your damn business I’m very far from a liberal, and I have the integrity to judge people’s writing based on the content of the message rather than their perceived allegiance.

Now let’s try this again, like adults this time, shall we?
In my previous post I said that I was skeptical about your claim of mass marriages, i.e. a single, large marriage ceremony for multiple people, not skeptical of the disturbing practice of taking on a child bride. I was given the impression that you were talking about mass marriages due to your posting pictures of little girls, all in one huge ceremony walking down a line with men who look to be in their 20s-30s. I then noticed that these girls are carrying Palestinian flags and asked you where you got these pictures from (since, as you should recall, your post was about Yemeni child brides).

I suspect you were yourself the victim of misinformation concerning the nature of those photos, but you uncritically passed them on as portraying a mass wedding ceremony involving many little girls and many adult men. That very well may be the case, but the inconsistencies I’ve already pointed out cast some honest doubt as to just what those photos are portraying, and if this practice truly disgusts you as you claim it does (and I do believe it does) then I should hope you’d want to be certain that you aren’t bolstering sympathy using fraudulent means like photos of an event that isn’t even of a child marriage. This is why I politely asked you to provide a source for those photos so that we could find out a little more about them… to which you responded with this nasty little assumption:
As LDS esq’ I understand there are certain segments within that faith tradition that promote child marriage.
Did I strike a nerve here or something?
You don’t even know me and here you are implying that I support or condone child marriage. And why? All because I asked you to substantiate your use of those photos!

Again, not that it’s any bit of your business, but “LDS-esque” refers to my current predicament of being an LDS member on paper (not FLDS) while in my heart I believe in Apostolic Christianity (I’m still discerning between the Orthodox and the Catholic Church while I make my fourth or so round through RCIA).

Would you care to please tell me where you got those photos from, and/or how you know they’re pictures of Yemeni child brides?
