Because right now, I value you enough to go on. I do not quite respect you but I certainly do not believe anything bad about you. But you made some comments on the immigration thread that made me wonder. If you are a real Catholic, you are Pro-Life and against gay marriage. Its easy. If you are not Pro-Life, then I will not discuss this anymore. I will switch to an important topic; salvation. No person who supports the murder of babies will ever see heaven.
So please. I hope you will answer.
Tell me what part of my original post you did not comprehend? This is not the political arena or forum,so why are you even mentioning political issues? Did I mention the canon on the immigration thread?

This sounds like a mere cop-out because I am not letting you off the hook. If you bothered to read,I am an educated person,so you are not dealing with someone who has no clue about history or the canon. Either stick to the topic or I will consider it a loss on your part and your complete misunderstanding of the process involving the OT/NT canons.

The topic of the canon is nothing. Life matters. It shows if someone is regenerated or not. So shut me up and tell me please.
just like any protestant come up with some lies and then when asked for prove, they imediately wants to diverge the subject to something else. i know he is pro life and everything else. he is in line with the CC. now back to his question.

please provide prove of what you have heard in protestants circle and you never asked for prove and now you are corned by the question.

If I am having a discussion with about the canon with a person who is not saved I cannot even act interested. Life is not about politics. Its about murder. I would not discuss the canon with someone who supports murder. That would be stupid. Nor would I discuss something like that with someone who supports homosexuality.
I am more than happy to go on. Views of the canon is not a matter of salvation. Paul clearly states that Christians cannot support murder Romans 1:28-31.
Let me ask you this, if you knew I was a…person who killed babies, would you care about what I thought about the canon. If I believe the Catholic canon is right but go out at night and find small children and cut them up, who would care what I thought about the canon? It would not matter.
I dont care about politics. I do want to have a discussion with a person who does not support murder and sinful lifestyles. One of the reasons I like this forum is most of the Catholics on here are just peas in a pod when it comes to morality with me. I like that and I respect Catholics for their work in this area.
Now shut me up please and lets go on to the canon. Please.

Who cares about the canon if someone supports murder?!?!
I tell you what. I am going to post my next response to you since you believe in Catholic teaching but first interact with my first post that I gave some content.

please, if you have the answer, what is the problem? all you have to do is presented. it is not that hard, really.

waiting for the answer.
If we are now having the discussion, I request that you interact with my timeline. It is in post 8. It talks about the last official meeting that supported the real canon for the most part. (Edited. Not anymore they don’t)
Next, I will list the next citation but I will list one and then you will need to briefly respond about it. Thats how a conversation works.
Thanks

Okay so the first post talked about the last church council prior to when the changes started. Next we are going to discuss another church father. I will post his quote next. Hey this takes a long time, I have about 20 posts to go over one at a time to prove my case. If that is too long, tough, you signed on!

There are, then, of the Old Testament, twenty-two books in number; for, as I have heard, it is handed down that this is the number of the letters among the Hebrews; their respective order and names being as follows. The first is Genesis, then Exodus, next Leviticus, after that Numbers, and then Deuteronomy. Following these there is Joshua, the son of Nun, then Judges, then Ruth. And again, after these four books of Kings, the first and second being reckoned as one book, and so likewise the third and fourth as one book. And again, the first and second of the Chronicles are reckoned as one book. Again Ezra, the first and second45444544 i.e. Ezra and Nehemiah. are similarly one book. After these there is the book of Psalms, then the Proverbs, next Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Songs. Job follows, then the Prophets, the twelve being reckoned as one book. Then Isaiah, one book, then Jeremiah with Baruch, Lamentations, and45454545 i.e. Baruch vi.—The Syriac has the conjunction, which is rejected by the Benedictine editors. the epistle, one book; afterwards, Ezekiel and Daniel, each one book. Thus far constitutes the Old Testament.
This is the Festal letter. The good bishop supports the correct canon with only the possibility that they accept the LXX version. Which I get but its still the Jewish canon. This is from around 360 AD as well. This is the canon of the church at that time.
Next we will go back further

It is true that the Bible has gone through some great changes. However, the basic ideas still remain and that is the most important thing. Even though we are not using the Hebrew and the Aramaic versions of the Bible, the newer versions of the Bible we are using today contain the same fundamental ideas as the earlier Hebrew and the Aramaic versions.

Fair enough! Before I exit this thread for good for many reasons, the only thing I will say is that Jewish OT canon does not follow the same order of the Protestant canon.
