Your friend is going through a dark night of the soul. tell her to read St John of the Cross about the dark night. or St. Teresa of Avila, or any of the saints, they all went through a similar suffering. This is actually a purification of her faith and she will come out of it purified and closer to the heart of Jesus than ever before. It is a good sign that she continues to do her ministry and attend to Mass! A very good sign! Tell her to trust in Gods Divine Providence and not loose heart! This is a sign that she is favored by God. Don’t pray for it to go away! pray for her to keep her faith throughout the time. There is a light at the end of this darkness! This is not a bad thing.

Thanks I will bear this in mind. I stayed up all last night talking with her. I am a bit worn out, but hopefully I will get rest later on today.
She said she was going to to go Mass last night when I talked with her, and I am praying that this may be so. She also told me that she has the means to take her life, and of this I am very frightened. I gotta trust in God.
