Hi all.I am a little worried about something.Just to ask those who always do adoration nline on the adoration chapel site.I got the site on one of the threads.louisville-catholic.net/WebCameras/AdorationChapel/tabid/825/Default.aspx.Where the Blessed Sacrament is placed,i see an image Of Jseus’ face and two other people standing on the right and left; can’t really make them out.Has anybody taken note?

WOW I just looked again after I posted the information below. I do see Jesus’ face in that painting and it is not supposed to be that way! Thank you so much for sharing that!! I wonder if that is a sign that he is truly present.

Oh you are referring to the painting on the front of the stand. Sorry for the misunderstanding. That is a classic scene depicting the final moments on the cross. Jesus is on the cross, at the foot of the cross on his one side is St. John, and on the other side is Mary. This scene is inspired by the following scripture:

Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

The image of Jesus’ face is the first thing I noticed too! Thank for sharing synlly!

Its looks like a properly proportioned face and head to me and I have a degree in art. What it really is of course is the crucifix against a bright section of sky behind it, but the proportions of the face that it creates is proper to a human head. Now maybe the artist deliberately planned the whole thing when he painted it, I don’t know.
