Often the prayer requests are in the “Thread” COLUME and threads can sometimes be in the prayer COLUME or in both. Then what? Just wondering.

Thanks for the reminder on this. I actually had no idea that advice and suggestions were generally not allowed. :o

Also, if someone posts a thread here asking for prayers, but also asks for advice and suggestions, should we report that thread?
 
I would very much like to have prayers said firstly for the Intentions of Our Lady; then for the conversion of my family and friends and for my health. For an end to abortion and for our country; for conversion of the Moslems. Thank you:signofcross:
 
Please pray for my health. I have my health issues and some the drs. can’t seem to figure out. Please pray that they can be resolved. I also am in need of an increase of faith.

Would it be okay to offer a little advice or a nice little note with your prayer offerings to those who request for prayers, if only to make them more personal and emotional?

I think the best way to approach this situation is by sending them a PM after you say your prayer for their intentions.
 
I think some of the confusion over this stems from when an original poster posts a narrative (essentially vents) when also asking for a prayer.

Resist the temptation to engage them on the Prayer Forum and send a PM instead. Usually, they’ll appreciate it. 😉

I also think this may be somewhat revealing in the sense that people who bounce around different forums do not always check to see what forum they are on and unintentionally violate site policy. Some of the posts on here could easily fit into the Family Life Forum, where rules are different.

So diligence is important.
 
I applied to be a prayer warrior, but I am now thinking against it with second thoughts on this forum/website. I may be mistaken, but there appears to be a sort of competition element in many of the posters in how many posts they can post to increase their tally. Also, there appears to be too many prayer warriors using this forum for prayers for themselves mostly and not being objective. That is how I have perceived this forum the last few days. If I am mistaken in my observations, or if there is any other reason that may clarify the above, please enlighten me. Thank you.

Some of us are new and are still finding a way around the sight and hoping we are staying in alignment within the rules. I saw prayer requests on the right and tried to enter one and it didn’t work. Well, that is because the enter prayer request entry is on the left side. Ah Ha I said to myself. One of those requesting prayers was asking for advice. Most replies prayed and gave advice. It was on a thread.
I guess pray the part on the prayer board and then, take the questions to a thread and offer suggestions. But the problem is just ignorance such as mine or trying to help too much. God is not the author of confusion and our moderators will bring us into order.
God loves us so much and if you have a pull on your heart to be a prayer warrior and you get the proper advice from the moderator, follow your heart. One looks up to God and not sideways to others as we will mostly disappoint you. We are sinners saved by grace. Thank you Saving Lord. Sacred Heart of Jesus I place my trust in thee. tweedlealice:shrug:
