As many of you know from my last month of postings, DH may lose his teaching job due to consolidation of his school district. Tonight is the meeting at the school to “open discussions”. We will not be allowed to ask questions, this is supposed to be just an informational meeting. I am very scared and have been, frankly, in a panic for the past month. IF this happens, every teacher in both schools will be fired, the unions dissolved, and then a new union will be formed and a fraction of the teaching jobs will be made available for them to fight over. We are very scared. As many of you know, we have MASSSSSSSIVE debt and this would force us into bankruptcy. We are trying to keep a brave front so DD-5- doesn’t know what’s going on. DH has well over 15 years of teaching under his belt, but this could actually hurt him because he’s also at the top of the Michigan pay-scale for teachers. We’d happily take a paycut, but i don’t think that’s even an option. Please pray for us today. I’ll update tomorrow. thanks-twk
 
Ditto. People need experienced teachers. Especially those who are dedicated to their job. I hope it turns out for the best for you.
