I humbly ask you guys to please pray for me…I will be having skin surgery tomorrow morning at 8am. I asked Mary for her prayers today, and at mass last night. It’s not major surgery (I had a mole removed a while ago, and it came back positive for basal cell carcinoma, a slow growth skin cancer) but still. I’m a little nervous. I know Jesus will take care of me, no matter what. I should fear nothing.

Thank you for your prayers. You’re the best.

Thanks JW–Funny, that emoticon patting my forehead…that is exactly where my surgery will be…on my forehead! I am not a vain person…but I don’t want a huge scar left.😦 I have such a nice haircut now…no bangs…it would be a shame to have a scar on my forehead now. lol

If anyone has had mohs surgery, could you tell me everything is going to be a-ok?:o Grazie! (if it won’t be ok, you don’t need to reply…lol!)

Lord give Whatevergirl the peace that only you can provide and watch over the doctors and nurses.

Prayers for a quick, painless and virtually scar-free surgery. You’ll be fine! 👍 (Childbirth hurts more… you can do it!)

Prayers for you!

I know how stressful a health scare is… mine back in Aug was very stressful and turned out fine.

I know it’s all in God’s hands but I’m sure you will come through everything fine.

Well, I haven’t had mohs surgery - my mole turned out to be benign - but I googled it for you. According to Wikipedia:
Mohs surgery, also known as “Chemosurgery”, was created by a general surgeon, Dr. Fredrick E. Mohs, is microscopically controlled surgery that is highly effective for common types of skin cancer, with a cure rate cited between 97% and 99%[1] for primary basal cell carcinoma, the most common type of skin cancer, and for squamous cell carcinoma.
See? There ya go. Those are pretty awesome cure rates! 👍 And my grandmother had surgery on the side of her face above her ear, and the doctor ended up giving her a facelift for free to prevent scarring. Don’t know if that’s good news for you - I doubt you need a facelift at your age - but hey, nice to know it can be done, eh?

Prayers for you WG! Like you said, Jesus will take care of you, no matter what. May His peace fill you before and after the surgery and may all of the doctor’s and nurse’s guardian angels be extra vigilant that day!:signofcross:

WeGirl I am deeply sorry for what you are going through and I hope God almighty turns his merciful eyes upon you and takes good care of you! I know how scary surgeries are, I have lived in a hospital forever and a day, I hate hospitals! 😦 BUT I hope all goes well…

May the Lord God our Father in heaven take care of this wonderful person during her trials and time of need! God bless you and please take care!

Will keep you on my Rosary this week WG. Let us know how it goes.👋

hahaha I needed a laugh, and knew I could count on you, Bama. lol! 😛

Well, you’re only in AL, and I’m only in FL…if you want to make the drive…there’s plenty of room for you and Debbie. It would be fun to get to know you two, in person. God bless!

Aw, thank you…this is a very sweet prayer. It’s not a hospital, but an outpatient something or other. lol:rolleyes: I just wished that I used sun screen all those years I sun bathed and surfed on the beach! (Yes, I used to surf) LOL!😃

The weird thing is everyone, my skin is very light, and hardly any sun spots…I have a few freckles, but that’s about it. And I have this?

TY to all who are praying, and commented in here…Liberano, 1ke, dhgray, Gratefuldad, malia and Marygail–you guys are too kind.

I’ll have to report back how it all went. I’m not expecting pain (better not be pain) but this surgery was supposed to take place a few weeks ago, and now I will have a bandage on for my birthday next week. I suppose things could be a lot worse in my life…I know this. I’m grateful to God that this was caught early, that’s for sure.
