I think a lot of people won’t reply because their story would take a whole book, at least mine would. But I will sum it up VERY briefly:
raised a Baptist–accepted Christ as Savior, baptized etc.
left home and basically quit going to church
married a non-practicing Catholic
we went to Catholic church a couple of times and quit
got involved with Jehovah’s Witnesses but read one of their books on Revelation and it was a total joke so “saw the light”
went back to Baptist church
Baptist church had a split
the split I was with folded
started going to the Covenant church
Hubby started going too but never liked it
stumbled into Mother Angelica on EWTN about 5 years ago
started reading Scott Hahn and others
started reading early church fathers
my husband stopped attending Covenant church
I kept feeling closer to the Catholic church
asked my hubby if I became Catholic would he go back
he said yes
I’m in RCIA
Hubby is back at Catholic church–first confession in 45 years
I will be confirmed Holy Saturday
That’s my journey in a nutshell. I now regret that we didn’t keep going to the Catholic church way back when. But I have a good 20 years left on this earth in which to attend. I’ve met many wonderful, dedicated Christians who love Jesus. http://forums.catholic-questions.org/images/icons/icon7.gif
