Osteen’s popularity stems mainly from the fact that he tells people exactly what they want to hear. He tells them that God wants them to be happy all the time, and that God will prevent those who would make them unhappy from being as successful as they are. The Gong has spoken.

I personally do not like him, but I can see why a lot do.

He preaches what people want to hear…that God owes up something. God owes us blessings. That it is easy to be Christian because no matter what you do, God owes you.

God does not owe us anything. We owe everything to God.

I agree with you SirThomasMore. When I hear Joel speak,which is very rare,he seems to convey a message where one should not struggle or suffer at all. His solutions seem to be based off secular successes (i.e., money,promotions,etc,etc). I am sorry,but that is not the Gospel of Jesus.
