Same thing.

I’m on your side in this, remember? Just because I don’t do it or see the need for it doesn’t mean that I don’t understand how it works.

Or that I feel any need to criticize those who find comfort in it.
I just wanted to say, that with some of the anti-Catholic attitudes I have run across lately, particularly in regards to marian devotion… Your post was a breath of fresh air:)

There is much charity in your response and I wanted to say thank you:hug1:

Hail Mary full of Grace (Luke 1:26
The Lord is with you (Luke 1:26
Blessed are you among women Luke 1:42
And Blessed is the Fruit of Your womb Luke 1:43
Holy Mary, Mother of God Luke 1:35
Nothing wrong so far. It’s the continuation which is the problem 😉

It is also important to remember the Rosary is a private devotion and not a requirement. There are many Catholics who find comfort in other beautiful devotions. For instance: St. Therese of Lisieux did not favor the Rosary.

For Protestants and for myself (a devout Catholic), the Twenty Third Psalm brings the same great peace and love.

It strikes me odd that devotions would be a cause of contention between people.

One might also point out that most of contents of the Rosary are used by the majoity of protestants as well. The Our Father, Apostles Creed, Invocation, The Glory be, and the part of the Hail Mary that the OP offered.
