Please - Your Continued Prayers For Marriage

Dear Friends. It seems as though my marriage is about to end. My wife Brenda has informed me that she doesnā€™t believe that there is anyway to save it. I have moved out of the family home in order to give her time to reflect. I am far from a perfect person, but I am taking action to change my ways. I am begging for you continue to pray with me so that she will soften her heart towards me and recognize my changes. I dearly love her and it would be devastating to lose her. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen
 
I highly suggest praying ā€œwithā€ her daily. Even if itā€™s just the Lords prayer over the phone, a couple that prays together, stays together.
 
Sending you my prayers. Donā€™t give up hope until all hope is truly lost. I donā€™t know your situation and donā€™t want to be the source of false hope, but I was in your wifeā€™s shoes two years ago. My husband remained committed to the marriage, even after the divorce, and now we are working to reconcile.

Have you done a Retrouvaille retreat? I havenā€™t yet (we are going in January), but it has saved many marriages on the brink of divorce. (Do a search for Retrouvaille on this forum to see tons of testimonials.) I wish someone had pointed me toward it (or toward Marriage Encounter) when our marriage first started to show signs of weakness.

I know thereā€™s an awful lot of grief in your situation, and will pray to God for you with hope and thanksgivng as scripture advises
ā€œā€¦ if there is anything you need, pray for it, asking God for it with prayer and thanksgiving, and that peace of God, which is so much greater than we can understand, will guard your hearts and your thoughts, in Christ Jesus.ā€* [Philippians 4:6-7]*

I do know of seemingly hopeless marriage situations where prayer, kindness and patience, but not without times of sadness, has brought couples back together and Iā€™ll pray to God for that for you and Brenda

Lord, please send your Holy Spirit down on this couple and heal them, strenghten them, and help them love each other and get back together again. Please help Brenda to trust her husband again and to give living with him a second chance. May they both be centered on you and place all their confidence in you. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.
