1 Corinthians 10:31 states ‘whatever you eat, therefore,or drink,do so for the Glory of God.’ If I eat sweets, how can I do that?I dont understand-what exactly does it mean?

I think it must be read in the context of the preceeding verses. Paul says that something may be lawful but not something that should be done in all circumstances. He specifically uses the example of eating things offered to idols. He says if doing so will offend someone else then we should not do it even if it would be lawful to do it. That would be harming someone else’s faith and not glorifying God. If we restrain ourselves from doing something out of consideration of ours brother’s feelings that is truly glorifying God by showing love for our brother. It is very similar to what Paul says in Romans 14.

Its one of my very favourite bible versus, and I always tell God it before eating. He likes us to eat sweets too, don’t worry. It just means to be really thankful for your food, and if you see someone who needs it,give it to them.
