I too recommend “Fertility, Cycles and Nutrition” by Marilyn Shannon. I loaned the book to my mom and 4 sisters (thank goodness for my Dad and brothers that only 3 sisters and my Mom deal with PMS) and keep trying to convince them to get on Optivite or some equivalent multivitamin. I found a really great source-- actually, I may have found it in the NFP manual. It’s a Catholic prolife pharmacy. I think their website is www.kuhar.com
I am pregnant now, so I don’t need to deal with PMS, but I do get moody, kind of like I had been before pregnancy. I just get tired of hearing old wives’ tales, I think, and want to tear someone’s head off. Another really touchy subject with me is people who feel the right and compulsion to touch my belly. I am NOT public property! Don’t touch me!
Sorry about the rant there. Glad to hear that the vitamins are working for you! I have also found that a mixture of Raspberry-leaf and Chamomile teas is both calming and helpful with the hormonal and biological monthly cycles.
