That’s because Williams changed the title after the storm in a teacup erupted.

His original article (which I received a link to in my daily Aleteia newsletter on 8/12/16) was entitled “Sex Is The Nourishing Food Of Marriage.” :o
Oooooooh!

Here’s an example of what taking a wrong turn with sex looks like:

It’s from Michael Pearl’s story of his honeymoon.

Honestly, I’m flabbergasted. How on earth do you not have more insight than that? How can one person have so little regard for another? Is he being facetious on purpose? (I know he’s not, but… ugh.)

(Here’s a prime example of how we can treat people as things.)

I haven’t read it in context, but I expect that he did understand when writing it that he had been a big jerk as a young husband. I think he is mocking himself–but on the other hand, how did a grown man do all that stuff in the first place and not realize at the time that he was being a big selfish pig and that his new wife was in so much distress?

Also, I suspect that a bit more sex ed was in order. Namely, don’t overdo it, cowboy, and it’s supposed to be just as nice for her, too!
