A hate crime for something done against the Catholic church, now that is funny.I just read about this. How pathetic and sad. I hope they find the jerks and charge them with a hate crime.
I just searched the FBI statistics on hate crimes and in 2005 there were 1,314 offenses reported and of that number 4.6% were labeled as anti-CatholicA hate crime for something done against the Catholic church, now that is funny.
Sadly, the courts never hold up hate crime laws against Christians, especially Catholics. Destroying a menorah gets a hate crime prosecution, destroying a creche is called a prank. If they get caught, most they will get charged with is tresspassing and disturbing the peace.
Wow, never seen those statistics, guess I shouldn’t have said never, more like less likely. Of course these only account for reported hate crimes, not successful prosecutions as a hate crime. Based on Catholic League finding many hate crime prosecutions against Catholics never end up actually make it to guilty status, more end up with lesser charges.I just searched the FBI statistics on hate crimes and in 2005 there were 1,314 offenses reported and of that number 4.6% were labeled as anti-Catholic
