Churches in Poland should increase the number of Sunday Masses to avoid too many people gathering at once, the head of the Polish bishops’ conference has said.

“Just as hospitals treat illnesses of the body, the church is there to heal illnesses of the soul. That’s why it’s unimaginable that we should not pray in our churches,” Archbishop Stanislaw Gadecki said.

Thank you for the inspirational post!

I think that is an excellent idea!

The priests can offer Masses more rapidly. We can have more Masses with people sitting three rows apart in file and six feet apart in rank.

I recall Tridentine daily Masses being offered in about 20 minutes by some priests.

Pauline Masses could probably be temporarily sped up too.

Three Maases in an hour and a half instead of one Mass in an hour and 15 minutes.

This would enable our parishes to take up a collection too (whereas if everyone were home, they cannot do that as readily). Our parishes need to pay their bills.

The people need the Mass.

The world needs the Mass.

We need the Grace’s.
