Is this group, the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, in schism with the Roman Catholic Church?

No, the Polish National Catholic Church is in schism, having been formed after Vatican I defined papal infallibility. The Polish Roman Catholic Union of America was formed partly to give loyal Polsih Roman Catholics an organization within the Catholic Church, that was not schismatic. The Resurrectionist Fathers have been a key part of the Union since its foundation.

With due respect, you are wrong about the foundation of the Polish National Catholic Church. It was founded in Scranton Pa. in the late 19th Century.No, the Polish National Catholic Church is in schism, having been formed after Vatican I defined papal infallibility. When Irish Coal Miners dared to try and form a labor union and not only struck against the mines and fought the militia (The Molly McGuires), the mine owners fired the lot and replaced them with coal miners they brought over from Poland. Very soon after, the Poles brought over priests from Poland and built churches with their own money. When the Irish Bishop of Scranton found there were Catholic Churches that he knew nothing about, he investigated. Unfortunately, neither he nor his people spoke Polish and none of the Polish priests spoke English. Equally unfortunate, there was a general antipathy against Poles by the Irish-including the Bishop. When the Bishop demanded that all sermons in his Diocese were to be in English only and all church property was to be deeded to him, the Poles rebeled. They appealed to Rome, but the Irish in America had more influence with the Pope than did the Polles, So the Poles in central Pennsylvania broke with Rome. This break lasted until the reign of John Paul II who effected a reconciliation sometime in the 1990’s.
There may still be some Polish National Church parishes apart from Rome, but they broke away from their own church after re-unification.
FWIW, I am half Polish and even though I was away from the Church for many years and am no redonciled. I have always been loyal to Rome.
