Please pray for me as I am in personal trouble over taking a public stance against abortion. I did so by writing letters to a prominent newspaper in South Florida. This ultimately led to writing a letter promoting McCain over Obama, although I was also pro-Black–a difficult choice. To me, the plight of Blacks in America was not so different from the plight of the unborn. And I wrote a letter saying so in a way which was easily misinterpreted. I have felt scared and persecuted and on the wrong side of current politics ever since, and recently experienced a horrific stay in downtown Easton, PA, which is predominantly Black. I have now moved, but the trouble has followed me here. I feel I am being subjected to terror tactics. My car was threatened in Easton and someone made a remark about it the other night which could be interpreted as threatening, I knocked on the door of the apartment he went into and he denied it but made reference to being familiar with my street in Easton and knowing somebody in jail there (the jail was right around the corner.) Maybe the remark meant nothing, maybe not, but tonight ALL the cars on the side of the parking lot where I usually park are gone, my car is alone. I am very scared. My politics turned from pro-life into a frightening racial dilemma and I don’t know what to do as I feel I am being used as a target. Please pray for me. This situation is too complicated and involved to go into in detail here, I have left out about 99%, for instance, the girl who threatened to slash my tires was white; I had called Children’s Services on her at the suggestion of a nun with whom I was in Project Rachel counseling with. I left town. Five cars in Easton were set on fire that night.
