Politics and Discerning of spirits

Do you think that politics and discerning Of Spirits or politcs and religion can go together?
What does Discerning of spirits mean ?
Does it mean just in trems of exorcism or much broadly - dally interaction between people ?
Can one help himself discern good ideas from bad ones by current political situation, history concerning that idea and other knowledge that can be taught?

I would give some examples, but I am afraid they will abolish my thread agian.

My question realy is - Can one disregad reason when discerning?

I think you can"t disregard reason when discerning, because everything action(praying,speaking…) has some kind of logic behind.🙂
 
I have no problem with good reason either. 🙂 You will see reason used by Christian apologists from the time of St. Irenaeus in the 2nd century all the way until today. Maybe also Pope John Paul II’s “Fides et Ratio” (Faith & Reason) is something that might interest you.
