I believe in santa-but even if he’s not real, at least there’s Saint Nicholas.
What a sweet idea. When I found out at age 7 (and for my parents, this is really something), I got to be an official Elf. This meant I got to help Christmas shop, stay up late to “help” Santa, and wrap presents. I was sworn to secrecy.I took my duties very seriously.
Today, I like to “help” St. Nicholas on his feast day by “assisting” him in dropping presents where they are least expected and most needed. I hope others would think of that, too. No tag with writing, just a holy card of the good saint or even a homemade one with his image does the trick.
Dear Santa,
This is —. I was just writing to tell you that I believe you are real. I know you are real because my mom told me you are real, and she would never lie to me.
Love,
This was pretty much how my parents handled it, too. When I found out at age 7 (and for my parents, this is really something), I got to be an official Elf.
