Agreed.
But such a surgery is not (and is not referred to as) abortion.
Agreed, also.

I was just trying to clarify, since once in a while I’ve run across someone who condemns even that. Some people tend to lump things together that don’t really belong together.

It seems possible, too, that a legislator could write a ban a little too broadly, so that even a licit procedure to save the mother’s life when there is no hope for saving her baby would be outlawed. Heaven knows we’ve seen enough legislative errors in both directions - too narrow, leaving loopholes that violate the spirit of the law, and too broad, prohibiting things that ought to be allowed. The former seems more likely than the latter, but I wouldn’t count on it. Of course, I’m not holding my breath waiting for Roe to be overturned even partway - not that I don’t hope for it, just that I don’t see it happening soon. More’s the pity.

Infanticide, euthanasia, abortion, and contraceptives, (except for natural family planning), all ought to be illegal in my opinion.
So I am an other.
Infanticide, euthanasia, abortion and the use of artificial contraception all kill babies.
