My answer also didn’t quite fit. Catholic grade and high school. Major public university. Lots and lots of Catholic grad school.

I’ll tell you what you missed, you missed a “no” option. Given that no one else has mentioned that yet, I guess I’ll be the one.
I’m Catholic, was baptized as an infant, later ‘reverted’, got into my faith and got Confirmed in college. I did that at a public college, and I went to public school my whole life.

No option for any Catholics that weren’t fortunate enough to get a lick of Catholic education.

That’s the same for me. I just picked the “elementary, high school, college” option, even though it makes it seem like I never did not go to Catholic school.

No was not an option in your poll.
There was not Catholic school in my community.

My RC education was first rate. The teachers were dedicated and caring and good role models. In the province of Ontario we have two publicly funded education systems - one public (for everyone) and another RC. The RC schools are funded from RC tax payers. Despite being sectarian, the RC schools continue to be popular even from non-church affiliated students and parents. The difference? I believe that faith inspires teachers. If you view your work as ministry the you do it better.

It saddens me that private education has gotten so expensive in the U.S., to much so to afford that opportunity for my own children. My Catholic education was the best that I received!
