Poll finds divides between Vatican, US Catholics

Most of these stories are written with a “Tee hee hee. Look at the problems the Catholics are having.”

The people responding are, as someone said, self-selected and most of them aren’t Catholic at all. Go to a church and poll those attending Mass and you’ll get a much different result!

Outraged? This is old news. Even if the poll was poorly done there is plenty of evidence it does reflect the truth about Catholics in America.

If people want something to be upset about, they should read “Catholicism confronts Modernity”, written by James Hitchcock in 1979. It is far more upseting than anything posted in these fora

So this poll is most unlikely to be anything but very whiskery and decrepit news.
