Poll: How do you pray the rosary everyday?

  • I pray 5 decades everyday.
  • I pray 15 decades everyday.
  • I pray 20 decades everyday.

UP VOTE for changing the poll.

Some people manage to say a few decades in a day and not the whole rosary. I’ve never in my life heard of anyone saying 4 rosaries is a day. I would imagine if someone had the time to pray that much, they wouldn’t be here on CAF to submit a vote.

4 rosaries takes around 1 and a half hours. I prayed 3 rosaries and it took me around 1 hour. St Louis De Montford advises us to pray the complete rosary. That is 15 decades. The Luminous Mystery was newly added by John Paul II. So total are 20 decades.

I pray a minimum of 5 decades a day. Having been to the Holy Land, I love walking through the 20 mysteries of the Rosary. I can visualize each mystery, having been there at each place of the mystery.
 
That’s really cool. I like to meditate on each Hail Mary of a particular mystery, envisioning the sights, smells everything I possibly can. I imagine visiting the Holy Land would be immensely helpful in that regard.
 
As a person who has dealt with intense physical pain at times , leaving me unable to speak, listening to the rosary on a podcast or a CD has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. Just to be able to follow along in my head/heart has felt like a gift from God, through Mary.

Especially when you have the possibility to actually walk in the same pathways Jesus and the apostles actually walked.
 
I think people used to say the whole Rosary (15 decades) a day, but now the more common practice is to only say one set of five decades per day.
That’s what I do.
 
If they did, I have no idea how… We have more free time now than back then, and I can barely get in 1 round of mysteries…
 
I try and say the 5 decades everyday but sometimes I only get in a decade or two, which I need to improve on. I have said at least one decade a day but mostly all 5 since Ash Wednesday, which is when I really dove into Catholicism.
